TeleHealth Visits
Dr. Harte understands that many clients may not be able to attend appointments in-person and may desire more flexible and convenient treatment options. This is why Dr. Harte offers most services via video chat (i.e., TeleHealth/TeleMedicine).

Please note: For the foreseeable future, all appointments are being conducted via TeleHealth to maximize convenience and flexibility.

What You Need to Know

All assessment and psychotherapy appointments are being conducted using a HIPAA compliant, secure, cloud-based TeleHealth platform called Doxy.me. Before your meeting, you will receive an email with a link. After clicking on the link, you will be directed to the video conferencing website where you will then be checked into a digital "waiting room." Within minutes, Dr. Harte will initiate a video call with you.

You do not need to download anything in advance nor do you need to register for TeleHealth services. You just need a smartphone, tablet (with camera), or computer (with webcam). However, it is recommended that you utilize a computer, as tablets and smartphones tend to not work as well. It is also recommended that you use Google Chrome as browser.

Preparing for Your First Appointment

-
All clients will be required to electronically sign a TeleHealth Consent Form Addendum. This form will be emailed to you in advance of the meeting.
-
Plan to show up as you would for a regular appointment: Wear appropriate clothing and find a private, comfortable, seated location.
-
Ensure that you are in a private location, preferably with a door, that ensures you will be alone for the duration of your appointment. This location must be in Massachusetts or Rhode Island (the states in which Dr. Harte is licensed).
-
Use a laptop or desktop computer for TeleHealth appointments. Smartphones and tablets do not work well. It is advised opening the Doxy.me link in Google Chrome.
-
Ensure your computer has a webcam and speakers. Feel free to use earbuds, if preferred.
-
Arrive (click the link) 5 to 10 minutes prior to your first session. Have your credit card ready in case it’s not already on file.

Reminders

-
You must physically be in Massachusetts or Rhode Island and in a private space where no one else will be present for the duration of your appointment
-
Please have your credit card information on hand; payment will be collected at check-out
-
Please make sure you have your phone with you so that Dr. Harte can reach you in the event of any technical disruptions
